Paul Wilson, a sound expert at The GlasgowSchool of Art’s Digital Design Studio, has won a major international award TV and Film Award as part of the production team behind Written Mrs Bach. The documentary, for which Wilson was Sound Designer, won a Gold World Medal at the 2015 prestigious New York Festivals Awards.
Written by Mrs Bach is a Glasgow Films / LOOKS film production which was screened by the BBC earlier this year. It posits the theory that the solo 'cello suites were written by Anna Magdalena, JS Bach’s second wife, rather than by Bach himself.
The New York Festivals World’s Best TV and Film Awards are presented annually. They honour programming in all lengths and forms from over 50 countries. Dedicated to both the Television and Film industries, categories mirror today's global trends and encourage the next generation of story-tellers and talent.
